ECHIUM BODY CREAM
 
The world of creams is seeing a quiet revolution with a change over from petroleum based products to creams laced with echium. Petro chemicals or propyulene glycol has its benefits but it is also causing allergies. The echium tree grows in the Canary Islands. The genus is echium and the species is pininana. It needs experienced hands to grow these echium trees that require full exposure to the sun. They are semi hardy bristly shrubs growing on well drained light soil. It does not grow beyond 400 cm in height and spreads out 90 cm wide. The best time to plant the seeds are from February to May. The flowery heads of these plants pop out of the lush undergrowth. During the first year of its growth silvery, hairy spear like leaves show up. In the next year there is a burst of growth and a single 4m flowery spike shoots out surrounded by blue flowers shaped like funnels. After this display the echium plant dies after scattering its seeds. In cold places these can be grown under a greenhouse glass like canopy. Echium plants bloom every second year. Thus to get a continuous supply it is necessary to sow every year.  
New range of creams is coming into the market based on echium. The anti ageing body cream is of special significance. Application of echium based creams is not only harmless but positively beneficial. The results show up dramatically within a short span of time. The use of echium seed oil naturally protects the skin structure. The effect is the same as that of Botox.
The echium based creams are already full of real life success stories. Jack Rowe had been suffering from acute eczema since he was few months old.
